Global Sustainability Leaders Scholarship

We’re The Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026 University of the Year for Scholarships and Bursaries.

We’re offering up to 400 Global Sustainability Leaders Scholarships per year to high-achieving students. Scholars receive £6,000 per academic year, subject to terms and conditions, for maintenance and living costs.

Whatever their subject of study, scholars access additional opportunities to develop their knowledge and leadership skills relevant to addressing climate and nature issues, engaging in cross-disciplinary learning and activities, and become part of a growing community of global sustainability leaders of the future.

Partnering for the planet

The University of Reading is renowned for world-class research in climate change and its impact on the environment and society, and we’re committed to being a leader in environmental sustainability.

We’re The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2025 Sustainable University of the Year and committed to becoming net zero carbon by 2030.

And we want to empower all of our students with the skills and knowledge needed to help build a sustainable future.

It’s by working together, harnessing our collective expertise, talent, support, commitment and diversity, that we can make a real difference – to become a true ‘partner for the planet’.
